MONKEYBICYCLE SUBMISSIONS GUIDELINES
Every submission sent to Monkeybicycle is read by a human being. But because
there are few of us, this can take some time. We are getting better, but please,
still give us at least twelve weeks to get back to you.
Something else that will shorten our response times is the strict adherence to the following guidelines. In fact, if these guidelines are not followed, we will probably skip over your submissions completely.
FOR THE PRINT VERSION:
TOPICS:
We love all kinds of things. Whatever you feel like sending to us, we'll gladly
look it over, regardlesss of the subject matter.
LENGTH:
Stories can be as long as you'd like them to be. They can be no shorter than
one word.
SUBMITTING VIA EMAIL:
Please send all print submissions to PRINTSUBMISSIONS@MONKEYBICYCLE.NET. In the subject line, please include the word "submission". Also, in the body of the email, include your contact information (Name, Address, Phone Number, Email Address). Attach your story as either a Word (.doc) or .RTF file. Other formats could add significantly to our response time.
PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED WORK:
Will not be considered.
FOR THE WEB SITE:
TOPICS:
Again, anything is fine.
LENGTH:
Submissions for the web site should not exceed 1000 words. If they do, but not by much, and we feel that ZING! one gets from reading a really great story, we will consider it. That is, unless it exceeds 1200 words. Then we will not.
SUBMITTING VIA EMAIL:
This is the only way to submit work that you would like considered for the
web site. PLease send all emails to WEBSUBMISSIONS@MONKEYBICYCLE.NET.
Again, in the subject line please write the word "submission".
In the body, please paste your entire story. Attachments will not be read.
Not with all of the crazy viruses that have been going around lately. Also,
please use standard formatting--no colored or wacky-looking characters. Please
submit only one piece for consideration at a time.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
RESPONSE TIMES:
We try to respond in within eight weeks. If you have not heard back from us
within that time, send us a follow-up email and we will get right on it and
make up excuses for not having done so yet.
PAYMENT:
Right now, there is none. Not even for us.
